It is the very first time Albert Court Village Hotel being the official hotel for SIPF. It is also the first hotel to support this event out of the three held in 2008 and 2010 respectively. SIPF is not the first event the hotel had supported though. It is also a venue sponsor for another photography related workshop that is held earlier in May this year. The workshop is called “Photos make your blogs go Pop!” organised by omy.sg as part of the Panasonic Fun Learning Workshop series.
Events help to play the crucial role in attracting not only local, but also foreign guests to stay in the hotel during the period the event is held. Just this year itself, Albert Court Village Hotel has already sponsored 2 international events already. They are Singapore Blog Awards and SIPF. The hotel has mentioned that they are very proud of the partnership with SPH Annual Singapore Blog Awards 2012. The hotel hosted 14 foreign bloggers during their stay here in Singapore and the bloggers will share their staying experience and share it on their own social media websites. This shows that Albert Court Village Hotel utilises this event to attract guests to its premises by the good reviews written by the bloggers that have stayed in the hotel during the course of the event.
On top of that, the hotel has supported SIPF 2012 by allocating space for the organizers to set up their offices before and during the course of the festival. The hotel has mentioned that they are very pleased to support SIPF, a platform fast gaining traction on the global photography circuit. With the rich heritage, vibe and vitality of the hotel’s surrounding, Mr Koh Yan Leng, General Manager of the hotel, hopes to inspire SIPF supporters with the colourful cultural enclave of Little India. Mr Koh also mentioned that they have felt the buzz and positive reception with SIPF’s presence even before the event.
